Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 February 2026
Overview
DoubleXplorer is designed with your privacy in mind. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.
Data Collection
DoubleXplorer does not collect, transmit, or store personal data for analytics, advertising, or tracking. DoubleXplorer operates primarily on your device. The only data that may be processed outside the app is anonymized diagnostic information as described in the “Crash Reports” section below.
Access to Files & Folders
DoubleXplorer is a file management tool and requires access to the files and folders you choose to work with. This access is used only to perform actions you request (for example copying or moving files, downloading from a server, and saving to a location on your device). DoubleXplorer does not analyze file contents for its own purposes and does not collect or transmit your file contents to the developer.
If you use DoubleXplorer to connect to remote services (for example via FTP, SFTP, or supported cloud providers), file transfers occur directly between your device and the remote endpoint(s) you configure.
Third-Party Services
If you choose to connect DoubleXplorer to a third-party provider (such as Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, or Google services), you authenticate directly with that provider using its official sign-in and authorization flow (for example OAuth). DoubleXplorer only accesses the content you explicitly choose to browse or transfer.
DoubleXplorer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Please refer to each provider’s privacy policy for details on how they handle your data:
Crash Reports
To improve the stability and performance of DoubleXplorer, crash reports may be generated automatically when the app encounters an unexpected error. These reports are intended to be anonymized and are not intended to contain personally identifiable information.
Crash reports may include:
- Device model and hardware information
- Operating system version
- App version
- Events and conditions leading up to the crash
Crash reports are used solely to diagnose and fix bugs and performance issues. They are not used for advertising, profiling, or tracking.
Mac App Store
If you download DoubleXplorer from the Mac App Store, Apple may collect standard purchase and usage analytics as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. The developer does not receive personally identifiable information from Apple’s analytics.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page by updating the “Last updated” date.
